Founded by Trent Knapp, Summit Automation Group was created with a clear mission: to help small businesses save time, reduce missed calls, and convert more leads through practical AI automation.

Trent grew up in Leesburg, Virginia, surrounded by locally owned service businesses that relied heavily on phone calls, scheduling, and customer follow-ups to grow. Seeing how often opportunities were missed sparked an early interest in building smarter systems.

Today, Trent is a student at the Smeal College of Business at Penn State University, studying Supply Chain & Information Systems. His academic focus on systems, optimization, and process efficiency directly shapes Summit’s approach to building reliable AI agents.

Outside of business and technology, Trent is also a DJ, performing at events and learning firsthand the importance of timing, communication, and seamless experiences — principles that carry over into every AI system Summit builds.
